The X Jet sped over central Russia, towards the place where the fourth piece of Everett's body was hidden.
Christina looked over at Jake and smiled. They were the only mutants on this mission.

Jake starred into Christina's eyes amber coloured eyes, they were the most beautiful things he had ever seen, they were sparkelling like the ocean with a hot summer breeze, Jake said to Christina "you look absoloutly georgeous".
They were approaching the place where the 4th piece was hidden, Jake looked out the window and couldnt see much, they were way to high and travelling to fast so everything was a blur.

Christina blushed at the compliment.
"Thanks..." she replied nervously. She turned away from him and looked out the window. Her heart was thumping like crazy.
The Jet descended below the clouds and suddenly there was the place. The area was huge; it was fenced off with razor wire, and the building itself was ten stories tall. They were approaching an old Soviet missile silo and research facility. The piece was at the top of the silo, and the only way to get there was through the labs that sprawled out around the tall building and get up to the top floor.
The Jet landed in front of the broken down door and Christina jumped out. She melted the door down and poked her head back in at Jake.
"Come on then,"

Jake walked out of the Jet looking confindent that this was going to be an easy piece of everette's body to get, he followed Christina inside the building.
He took a look around, he went from being confindent to being really scared, the place was swarmed with razor wire and booby traps everywhere, this was going to be one of the hardest things he would ever have to face he thought to himself. He looked at Christina horrafied and said to her "are you up to this challenge, this is going to be extremly difficult and life threatening and i dont want to see you get hurt".

Christina grinned.
"Don't be a wuss," she said confidently. "We'll be fine. Come on."
Christina took Jake's hand and led him inside. They were in a long, corridor, that was once white and sterile. Now it smelt like dust, mould... and... gun powder. Where did the gunpowder come from?
The answer came with a loud bang somewhere to Christina's right, and suddenly she was on the floor, bleeding from her neck. A bullet could be seen just lodged in her neck, and blood was pouring from it.
"Jake?" she rasped. She could barely speak. She was in so much pain. She couldn't bare it. She just wished she'd die already.

Jake looked at Christina on the ground, he held her hand and said "youll be fine in a few seconds", jake instantly went back in time with her, as soon as they were back in the past, he grabbed Christina's hand and said "get on the floor, other wise bad things will happen". Jake looked over to the right side of Christina and seen where the bullet had previousy, Jake grabbbed Christina and Jake dropped to the floor, as they did so a raging bullet passed over them just missing Christina bearly. Jake asked Christina if she was ok and said to her " sorry for pulling you to the ground, it was important".

Christina gasped as Jake pulled her down. As the bullet passed over her head, with a slight woosh, a sharp pain erupted in her neck. She hissed through her teeth and rubbed the spot, but the pain went away instantly.
"I think... did I die?" she asked quietly. She shook her head and stood up. "Thank you."

Jake got up off the ground and said to Christina "im just glad your ok, i would never forgive myself if you got hurt or worse killed".
Jake continued to walk down the corridor being extremly cautious of any sign of movenment or suspicious places.

"You're sweet. Really," Christina said absent-mindedly. She proceeded down the corridor, a little stiff, partly because she was weary of danger, and also because she was hiding her emotions. She hated feeling guilty whenever she was with Jake. She couldn't bear to hurt Drake.
A grinding noise sounded just above them and a guillotine blade dropped in front of them. It was rusty and seemed to get stuck about half way.
Christina frowned and melted it away with her acid. Stepping under it the floor in front of her fell away for three metres, revealing rusty and blunt spiked underneath.
"Great," she muttered. Then the floor suddenly reformed. She stared at it and counted.
The floor dropped away again.
"It's on a timer," Christina said to Jake. "The floor drops after ten seconds."
The floor reformed again and Christina ran across it to a safe spot.
"Hurry up!"

Jake started to run across the floor, he nearly reached the end, the floor just collapsed, Jake had a about a metre and a half to go, the floor fell from under him, he lept from the falling floor, he grabbed the other side of the floor just grazing it with his finger tips, he pulled himself up, he was shaking rapidly with the thought of death in mind. Jake looked at Christina and said "well that was close, I should take more precaution next time".
Jake came to the end of the corridor, it had 2 sides to it, he stopped there for a few minutes and tried to think but couldnt, he had to many thoughts running through his mind at once and with Christina here with him he didnt want to make any mistakes. Jake asked Christina which way she thinks they should go".

"Be more careful next time Jake," Christina replied stiffly, but inside her heart was pounding. "I can't turn back time for you."
They reached the end of the corridor and found crossroads. There was a sign in front of her but she couldn't read Russian.
"Errr... I don't know..."

In a dimension of its own, a room of Reapers, large reptillian bat like creatures with four arms and large three fingered wings, watched Jake turn back time. A giant hole appeared in the side of the wall and the vicious feinds spilled out. They screeched and screamed, covering the entire world. These beings were not limited by time and space, they could travel anywhere and everywhere. Jake would be powerless against them. They devoured everyone they could see. They eventually became visible. One landed in front of Jake and Christina. He talked with a Demonic Voice. "THE GIRL MUST BE SHOT. OR ELSE EVERYONE DIES" in a softer voice he said "Including you two."

Christina stared at the Reapers.
"Oh... okay," she stuttered, utterly shocked. She was scared but she knew what she was going to do, not that she would remember. "Jake, I need to be shot. Take us back."

Jake thought to him self why go back in time, they cant touch us, they are ghost like, Jake heard Christina tell him to go back in time, he looked at her and said "if you get shot i cant survive without you, Christina I THINK I LOVE YOU".

"Please, just do it," she said softly. "When it happens, call George, okay? Just do it."
