Appearance:
From a very young age, Jonas has enjoyed excercise of most types and he has a very well built body, regardless of his lack of height. He has a wide variety of clothin styles, but generally wears something easy, for instance a shirt and jeans.
His hair is short to medium length and spiked upwards, a shade of dark brown which off set's his clear bown eyes. His face being ovular shaped combined with a lack of facial hair makes him seem very effeminate at first glances, but his muscular form soon offsets this.
In his left ear he wears an ear ring, which he likes a lot.
Personality: Jonas is the kind of person that wants to be everyone's friend. He can act like the joker some of the time, especially when he gets bored, but the rest of the time he's calm and can offer some very good advice when people need it (although he lacks the ability to give himself any decent advice).
He is lucky enough to have an almost un noticeable ability in his eyes, because although he has no dislike towards other mutants, he doesn't dislike his ability to hide amongst humans.
However, he has a very protective streak, and will do anything, even sacrifice his own safety, to protect his friends, especially his female friends.
Family: Jonas' mother left him in the care of his older sister when his father died of cancer and she found herself entering deep mental instability. In fact she lives full time in a psychiatric ward, which she has gone into of her own accord. He has no knowledge of this since she entered under the Pseudonym of Harrieta Fisk
History: (where they come from)
Jonas was born into a slightly hectic family. His father, Jeremy Arche, an artist and mother, Alecia Arche, a well known animal rights activist.
He found life relatively easy for the first seven years, where he would go with his mum to her meetings and protests (she beleived solely in passive protest, disliking violence). He also often watched his father drawing. Both of these caused him great enjoyment in his early years, until his father was sudenly diagnosed with a malignant Brain tumour, cancer.
Over the next three years, Jonas aged at least a further seven. His Mother at first became a firm believer that they could fight it, and then became a depressive wreck, becoming an Alcoholic and giving up her activism.
Jonas' older sister, Simone, became his mother, working when Dad couldn't and helping their mum when she collapsed in the drive way, for instance.
She worked hard at hiding him from the pains of the family, and succeeded until his father died. Simone found herself unable to hide the pain anymore, and cried for a week.
It was then that their mother left. Not even a letter, but both Simone and Jonas knew she wouldn't be coming back. She was no longer their mother, without their Dad she was an empty shell.
When Jonas reached 15 he was already visiting the gym and had bulked up dramatically from a much more weedy youth. In this time his sister had begun dating a series of partners that, although from the outside appeared to be great choices, were definately not good for her. It was her fifth "bad" partner in a row, Kyle, that caused Jonas' mutation to reveal itself. He was coming back from the gym when he saw Kyles car outside, and heard furious shouting from inside.
He came in to see Kyle punch Simone in the face, and it caused a lurch inside Jonas. His stomach flipped, and before he realised what he was doing, he fired what seemed like a blast of glowing energy at Kyle, smashing into him, and knocking him into the floor.
Jonas was so shocked, he looked at his ands in a mixture of horror and shock. His sister came up to him, and held onto him crying. She revealed that she too had a "power" she could cover her body in a fied of protectiv energy. But she had been so scared of using it in case Jonas got scared and ran away.
When Kyle came too from the power, he ran off in fear of Jonas, but the siblings didn't care. When Simone had been younger, she had been visited by a man named Charles Xavier. He told her of a home she could go to, but she couldn't leave Jonas alone with their mother in the state she was in, so Simone refused him.
She contacted him, and her and Jonas moved to the Mansion.
Since then Kyls kept mainly out of the limelight. He left the X mansion when he turned 18, to look for his mother, but unfortunately to no avail. He has only just returned.
Mutation:
Jonas has the ability to create a field of energy, which acts as a forcefield. Although the field is naturally coloured a pale translucent green, he can make them both opaque or completely transparent.
As well as a personal field, he can fire a "ball" or "wave" of forcefield energy, which can wrap around a target, or can knock the target back.
It uses relatively little energy for Jonas to create any of these forcefields, however sustaining them for any period of time takes considerable effort if they are under stress.
e.g.
If Jonas was in a fight with Cyclops, Jonas could quite easily cover himself in a protective field, and thro force balls and waves at Cyclops, however with Cyclops' strength it would be almost impossible to keep the ball's or waves formed if Cyclops fired a lazer beam at them. The exception being to Jonas' own forcefield, which beng more static than the other fields and being closer to him, could survive several hits from Cyclops without Jonas needing to move and hide.
He would find sustaining force waves and balls easier if he didn't also use his own fireld, but this would leave him open to be harmed, something he doesn't feel too fond of i the opponent is potent. That said, since he's physically quite strong he sometimes loses his own field, tries to distract an opponent with an array of force ball's (due to their speed and the time i takes for each to be fired, he has created a maximum of five at any one time) as he runs behind them and attacks physically.
Role Play Example:
Jonas was sitting in his room in the Manor. Often he wondered what other people were doing. His sister was probably out trying to end world hunger or something equally time consuming, and his friends, well they'd all departed when he did, Jonas thought he heard about Groundhawk going off to Brazil, or it could have been Eagle-eye.
He knew some of the others were in the Danger room, and that a few were ouutside on the grounds. Jonas was still a little sad he'd not found his mother, not even words of her death, which at least would be some finality.
